The Romanes Occluder is a useful accessory for the trial case. It is used for the assessment of visual acuity and the cover test.
One side of the handle bears a millimetre scale for inter-pupillary distance measurement and for numerical measurement of ptosis. The other side of the Romanes Occluder incorporates a white dot for use as a scotometry target or fixation point.
